The Team 

Founder and Managing Director, Fred Barron, has seen the Company grow from having a small Van and two staff to its current impressive size. Fred, however, still insists on being very much hands-on, and he gives reassurance to clients by his presence on all operational sites. 

Kim Barron, is a Director and Company Secretary with responsibility for Payroll, Accounts and General Administration. 

Jon Barron is a Civil Engineer, and as Senior Contracts Manager is responsible for the general Operational Management function. On-Site supervision is a key element within his work load.

Michael Barron is currently in charge of all company operations right through from our Civils Department to Haulage.  For any enquiries with regards to Plant Hire/Haulage/Civils and Bulk Earthworks Michael will be your first port of call. 

Gordon Clough has recently joined the team to look after all commercial aspects of the company.  Gordon has over 30 years experience within the North East Construction Industry at both site and senior management levels.  Working closely with both Fred and Jon, all tenders and enquiries will be handled by Gordon together with any on-site Quantity Surveying.

Janine Lartey has recently joined our ever growing team.  Janine has been enrolled to manage the maintenance side of Groundwork Services (Durham) Ltd.  Janine's duties include stock control, invoicing and liasing with our customers. 

John Campbell joins Groundwork Services (Durham) Ltd as Contracts Manager.  John brings a vast amount of experience gained in the 30 years he has been involved in the construction industry. 

Lauren Iveson has been enrolled by Groundwork Services (Durham) Ltd as receptionist/admin assisstant.  Lauren will work closely with Kim Barron on accounts and payroll.  

Shawn Clark joins Groundwork Services (Durham) Ltd as Transport Co-ordinator.  Shawn will be looking after our ever growing fleet of rigid and articulated tippers.  Shawn brings a wealth of experience into the role with his knowlege of tachograph's current legislation and quarry work.
